Build crazy turrets from salvaged war-tech and gun down an endless alien swarm from your mountain fortress. The longer you hold, the better the loot, but the core is all you’ve got.
You don’t pick towers from a menu in Hold the Swarm. You design your own from the parts the swarm drops, then field them for credits. Try the Workshop: three quick picks and you’ve made your first turret. Then tune it however you like.

There are no waves. The Hive Alert rises over time, faster the more you kill, and every level brings a denser, tougher swarm whose main thrust shifts from gate to gate. Hundreds to well over a thousand aliens alive at once, at a high frame rate.
Fortify the grid, mount your turrets and bend the aliens’ path so they spend longer under fire. Draft ability cards mid-run, trigger Overdrive, chain kills. The ring around the core can never be built over, so you can’t wall yourself in. You have to out-build them.
Every operation ends with a sector boss and a choice. Call EVAC and bank it all, or stay for Hive Fury: it adds salvage, up to half again what you banked at the boss, and the swarm comes back tougher and denser. Lose the core before the boss and the victory bonus is gone, but you keep what the cleared alerts paid and every module you found.
